THE COLUMBIA RED CROSS BLOOD DONATION CENTER WILL BE OPEN FOR DONORS FROM 7AM TO 3PM.  A RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE WILL BE HELD AT THE FULTON STATE HOSPITAL, FROM 9AM TO 3PM.

 

THE ADAIR COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT WILL HOLD A REGULAR CLINIC DAY WITH CHILDREN’S IMMUNIZATIONS, BLOOD SUGAR AND BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS, AND FASTING CHOLESTEROL SCREENINGS FOR ADAIR COUNTY RESIDENTS, ALL DAY, AT THEIR OFFICE IN KIRKSVILLE.

 

THE SULLIVAN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT WILL HOLD A BLOOD SUGAR AND BLOOD PRESSURE CLINIC, FROM 8:30 TO 9AM, AT THEIR OFFICE IN MILAN.

 

KIRKSVILLE’S MONTHLY ‘K-CUPS’ NETWORKING EVENT WILL BE HELD, FROM 8:30 TO 9:30AM, IN THE BASEMENT OF THE KIRKSVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE BUILDING IN KIRKSVILLE.

 

A VETERANS SERVICE OFFICER WILL BE IN MOBERLY, NEXT TO THE USDA BUILDING ON COUNTY ROAD 1325, FROM 9AM TO 4PM. 

 

THE GREEN HILLS REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION WILL HOLD AN OPEN HOUSE AND RECEPTION TO CELEBRATE ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY, FROM 10AM TO NOON AT THEIR OFFICE IN TRENTON.  THE TRENTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WILL HOLD A RIBBON-CUTTING AT 11:30AM. 

 

THE LITTLE DIXIE REGIONAL LIBRARY BRANCHES IN HUNTSVILLE, MADISON  AND PARIS WILL BE CLOSED FOR STAFF TRAINING.  THE MOBERLY LIBRARY WILL CLOSE AT NOON.   

 

THE COLUMBIA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL WILL HOLD A PARENTS ‘HOLIDAY OUT’, FOR A DONATION FIVE DOLLARS PER CHILD PER HOUR, FROM 12:30 TO 9PM.  PROCEEDS WILL SUPPORT ‘BE THE CHANGE’, HELPING TO BUILD SCHOOLS IN OTHER COUNTRIES. 

 

THE TRENTON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WILL HOLD AN ‘AFTER HOURS’ EVENT AT THE HOME OF GERRY AND LISA NEWMAN, FROM 4:30 TO 6:30PM. 

 

SANTA HOUSE, AT THE LODGE IN MOBERLY’S ROTHWELL PARK, WILL BE OPEN FOR VISITS WITH SANTA EACH EVENING THIS WEEK, FROM 6 TO 9PM. 

 

THE MOBERLY AREA HOME SCHOOL CO-OP PRESENTS ANOTHER PERFORMANCE OF ‘THE WIZARD OF OZ’, AT 7PM IN THE MACC AUDITORIUM. 

 

CENTRALIA’S 11TH ANNUAL YOUNG FARMERS CHRISTMAS TRACTOR PARADE WILL BE HELD AT 7PM IN DOWNTOWN CENTRALIA.  A VARIETY OF OTHER ACTIVITIES BEGIN AT 5PM.

THE MACON KIWANIS CLUB WILL HOST ‘BREAKFAST WITH SANTA’, FROM 8:30 TO 10:30AM, AT THE ROYAL THEATRE IN DOWNTOWN MACON.  VISITS WITH SANTA WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE AT THE SANTA HOUSE IN DOWNTOWN MACON, FROM NOON TO 2PM. 

 

THE COMMUNITY KITCHEN IN MOBERLY IS OPEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY TO SERVE MEALS TO LOCAL RESIDENTS IN NEED FROM 10AM-2PM AT 411 WEST REED IN MOBERLY.

 

THE RANDOLPH COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY IN MOBERLY WILL BE OPEN FROM 11AM TO 2PM, WITH COPIES OF THE MOBERLY SESQUICENTENNIAL HISTORY BOOK AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. 

 

TRUMAN STATE UNIVERSITY WILL HOLD ITS WINTER COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES, STARTING AT 11AM, IN PERSHING ARENA ON THE TRUMAN CAMPUS IN KIRKSVILLE. 

 

THE ADAIR COUNTY MOBILE FOOD PANTRY WILL HOLD ITS DECEMBER FOOD DISTRIBUTION EVENT, STARTING AT 11AM AT THE HAMILTON STREET BAPTIST CHURCH IN KIRKSVILLE. 

 

REEL TIME CINEMA IN BROOKFIELD WILL HOLD ITS ANNUAL FREE CHRISTMAS MOVIE AT NOON.  YOU’RE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A CANNED GOOD OR TOY FOR DONATION. 

 

THE MOBERLY PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL HOST A FREE SATURDAY MOVIE, FEATURING A SHOWING OF ‘HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS’ AT NOON. 

 

THE RED CROSS WILL HOLD A BLOOD DRIVE AT THE MACON WALMART STORE, FROM 1:30 TO 5:30PM. 

 

NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI COLLEGE KICKS OFF ITS ANNUAL ‘HOLIDAY HOOPS’ SCHEDULE, WITH A BOYS AND GIRLS GAME STARTING AT 2PM.  THE SCHEDULE CONTINUES THRU DECEMBER 30 AT THE KETCHAM COMMUNITY CENTER. 

 

SANTA WILL BE AT THE FARBER FIREHOUSE, WITH HOT CHOCOLATE AND COOKIES, FROM 2 TO 4PM. 

 

THE KEYTESVILLE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INVITES EVERYONE TO ITS DOWNTOWN CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION.  A SOUP AND CHILLI SUPPER BEGINS AT 4P, THE TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY IS SET FOR 4:30, AND THE UTV-GOLF CART LIGHTED PARADE BEGINS AT 5:30PM, IN DOWNTOWN KEYTESVILLE. 

 

THE NEW FRANKLIN SCHOOL WILL HOST ITS FIRST ‘EMPTY BOWLS SOUP SUPPER’ TO BENEFIT THE LOCAL FOOD PANTRY, FROM 4:30 TO 6:30PM.

THE MID-AMERICAN YOUTH BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT FOR 3RD THRU 8TH GRADE TEAMS WILL BE HELD AT MOBERLY HIGH SCHOOL, WITH GAMES SCHEDULED FROM 10AM THRU 6PM. 

 

CHILLICOTHE’S HOUSE OF PRAYER WILL HOLD ITS ‘CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS’ CONCERT AT 3PM. 

 

MEMBERS OF THE COLUMBIA CHORALE AND THE MISSOURI SYMPHONY SOCIETY WILL TEAM UP FOR A ‘SYMPHONY OF TOYS’ HOLIDAY CONCERT, STARTING AT 3PM AT THE MISSOURI THEATRE ON THE MU CAMPUS IN COLUMBIA. 

 

KIRKSVILLE’S 5TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS DINNER WILL BE HELD, STARTING AT 5PM, IN THE TRUMAN STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT UNION BUILDING.

THE COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP OF NORTHERN MISSOURI WILL HOLD A WOMEN’S HEALTH SERVICES CLINIC AT 511 ELM IN CHILLICOTHE, FROM 9:30AM TO NOON AND FROM 1:30 TO 5PM.

NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI COLLEGE ‘HOLIDAY HOOPS’ KICKS INTO FULL GEAR THIS WEEK, WITH A FULL SCHEDULE AT THE KETCHAM COMMUNITY CENTER, ON THE CAMPUS IN TRENTON.  BUCKLIN/MACON COUNTY AND GRUNDY COUNTY WILL MEET IN A GIRLS AND BOYS DOUBLEHEADER STARTING AT 4PM, FOLLOWED BY AN EXHIBITION GAME BETWEEN THE ‘TRENTON HEROES’ AND THE HOLIDAY HOOPS COMMITTEE AT 7PM.  HOLIDAY HOOPES AT NCMC CONTINUES THRU DECEMBER 30. 

 

THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY LIBRARY WILL HOST THE PARASOL PUPPETS’ PERFORMANCE OF ‘THE GINGERBREAD MAN’S CHRISTMAS’, STARTING AT 6PM IN THE SECOND FLOOR PROGRAM ROOM, AT THE LIBRARY IN CHILLICOTHE. 

 

THE MACON MIDDLE SCHOOL WINTER CONCERT WILL BE HELD AT 7PM IN THE MACON HIGH SCHOOL GYM.

 

THE KIRKSVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL HOLIDAY CONCERT BEGINS AT 7PM IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM. 

 

THE KIRKSVILLE FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH WILL HOST A HOLIDAY PERFORMANCE BY RICH MCKINNEY ON PIANO, STARTING AT 7PM.  FREE WILL DONATIONS WILL SUPPORT THE CHARITON VALLEY ASSOCIATION. 

 

MOBERLY AA WILL MEET AT 8PM AT 23 KEHOE, IN MOBERLY.

THE MOBERLY OPTIMIST CLUB WILL MEET AT THE BRICK IN MOBERLY AT 6:30AM TOMORROW MORNING.
