Macon County Health Department will have blood pressure and cholesterol screenings from 8-11:30am. Walk-ins are welcome.

A farmer’s market will be held at the corner of 1st and Market Streets in Milan from 3-6pm.

 

The Heartland Task force invites boys 5 and up and their mom or other significant adult female to their annual Mother-Son Stampede from 4-7pm at Truman State University Farm and Bruce Normile Center Grounds. Cost is just $6 per mother/son duo and $2 each additional boy.  TONS of fun events including a firing range, obstacle course, hay rides, s’mores and more.

 

Livingston County Health Center will hold a breastfeeding class from 6-7:30pm at the office.

 

The Linn County Republican Women will hold a regular meeting at 7pm at the Turner Agency in Linneus.  Social hour will begin at 6:30pm.

 

4th street Theatre in downtown Moberly will host classic movie night featuring E.T. Showtime is at 7pm.  Tickets are $10 and popcorn is FREE.

 




FRIDAY 9-21-2018

           

Sullivan County Health Department will have a blood sugar & blood pressure clinic from 8:30-9am.

 

A walk-in flu clinic will be held at the Livingston County health center from 10 am-2 pm for those 19 years of age and older. No appointments are necessary. Those with private insurance or Medicare should bring their card to the clinic.

 

The Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Moberly will hold a meeting at 10am at Moberly City Hall.

 

Marceline City Wide Fall Garage Sales take place today and tomorrow.  Maps are available at the Marceline Carnegie Library, Casey’s, Marceline City Hall, County Line and Prenger’s or you can print your own map at marcelinelibrary.org

SATURDAY 9-22-2018

 

The 7th Annual Multicultural Festival will be held today in Milan from 9am to midnight.  There will be food and craft venders, singing and dancing, bounce houses, local talent, a street dance and ending the night with an Elton John Tribute band, Elton Dan and the Rocket Band. Salisbury Pumpkin Festival will be held from 9am-1pm in downtown Salisbury with vendors, music, food and lots of fun things for kids to do.

 

The Community Kitchen in Moberly is open to serve meals to local residents in need from 10am-2pm at 411 West Reed Street in Moberly.

 

A Toastmasters Reunion will be held at Shoemakers RV in Bevier beginning at Noon.

Rothwell Park Mini Train will run from 1-4:30pm today. Rides are $2.50. The train is open now through October

 

The Kirksville Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a Halloween costume drive for children in need Now through October 15. Drop off gently used costumes at the Adair County Public Library, the Adair County YMCA or on Saturday’s at the Farmers Market.  Children will be able to select a costume at the Adair County Library on October 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th from 9am-2pm.  If you have questions about this project please contact a Kirksville Kiwanis member or email them at kirksvillekiwanis@gmail.com

The Adair County Health Department will hold a regular clinic day with children’s immunizations, blood sugar, and blood pressure checks, and fasting cholesterol screenings for Adair county residents all day at their office in Kirksville.

 

Livingston County Health Center will hold WIC Day.

 

Macon County Health Department will hold WIC Recertification’s by appointment only, all day at the office. They will also offer TB testing all day. 

 

The Adair County Commission will meet today through Wednesday from 8:30am to 4pm at the courthouse in Kirksville.

 

A Veterans Service Officer will be in Moberly next to the USDA building on Co Rd 1325 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

 

Macon County Historical Society will be open from 6pm-8pm.
